On November 28, the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) released a statement that a phishing email is being distributed on fake HHS letterhead with the signature of Jocelyn Samuels, OCR's director. The email contains a link for users to learn about inclusion in phase two of the HIPPA audit program. If clicked, the link takes you to a site that is not associated with OCR or the federal government.
